Do You Want to be Made Well?

Show Notes:

Are there things in your life that you need to confront? If we’re not careful, the things we hide behind start to keep us captive. Our "shelters" turn out to be prison cells God wants to set us free from. Life will always give you an opportunity to play the part of the victim, but there comes a point where you reach a crossroads and ask yourself the question Jesus posed in John 5:6--"Do you want to be made well?"

Sometimes in life, we must get alone with the Lord–heart bare before Him, stripped down in the spirit. It can seem easier and more comfortable to accept old patterns rather than confront them—you may even feel justified to do so— but friend, you can’t stay the victim and walk in the wholeness God has for you.

Life will serve up excuses, so it’s your responsibility to make the pivotal decision to…

  • Confront old mindsets that are holding you back

  • Let go of things you’re letting define you

  • Forgive those you are holding forgiveness from

  • Be made whole in Him

Remember, when your adversity goes through Jesus, it loses its ability to harm you.  At the end of the day, you have control over the narrative of your life; you are responsible for you. Would you rather wallow in the “why, why, why” or rest in God’s plans, purposes, and peace for your life? With Him, there’s no room for self-pity or doubt.

Let today be the crossroads where you take the path of change! As soon as the healing of the Lord comes over you, leave the past behind, let go of the hurts of the present, forget the fear of the future– release it all to the Lord! You’re without excuse now. Let go and identify in Christ!

Don't let your past hold you back from your wholeness. Today, ask yourself, “How badly do I want to be made well?”
