Show Notes:
If the enemy can take you out of a place of your identity in Christ, he can take you out of a position of authority. It’s no wonder that everywhere you turn today, someone seems to be in an identity crisis.
In today’s culture, more and more people are struggling with their identity, even so much so that they might feel as if they are a completely different person–or gender– than who God created them to be. As Christians, we know that our identity isn't based on a feeling, it’s not fluid, nor is it found in culture. Our identity is found in Christ!
The issue of identity crises is a byproduct of a society that has fallen away from God and a people who lack an understanding of their identity in Christ. The enemy is in overdrive, using society as a means to attempt to desensitize and acclimate society to the sin and agenda of this world, but we are called to be set apart and to understand, from a Biblical point of view, what is really going on in our world today.
In order to navigate societal issues related to gender identity through a Biblical lens with a balance of grace, understanding, and love, you have to stay aware of your surroundings and what culture is trying to project on you and your family.
True resolve isn’t just about holding back our dollar, it’s standing in the truth of the gospel and understanding the truth of the Word. Resolve to spread the truth of who God says you are in Him and bring the gospel into the conversation!
Culture will always try to pigeonhole you and feed you lies to define you with things that you are not. God created mankind in His image, and gender is more than just what you feel like, gender is how God created you–male or female. Gender dysmorphia is a result of an individual not liking who God has created them to be–they don’t see themselves as worthy. In reality, God loves all people and has a plan and a purpose for every single one of us. He has created each one of us on purpose, for a purpose–no matter whether we feel like it or not, God doesn’t make mistakes.
Don’t trade the glorious image of God to worship something else. Don’t allow society to redefine you. Speak the truth and generations will be saved, knowing their identity comes from Him, and Him alone!
