SHOW NOTES:

There is a song inside every one of us. Your song is your life purpose, that which God has put you in this world for. It’s the mark you’re meant to leave on Earth. The question is…has the enemy tried to silence your song? John 16:33 reminds us that in Jesus, perfect peace is available. Though you will have trouble, He has overcome the world. Friend, if you’ve lost your song, the Lord wants to resurrect, renew, and revive it.

The enemy will try to get you to hang up your harp in a hard season, forfeiting the song God has placed in you. When the enemy mocks you, you have a decision to make. Are you going to let the enemy silence your song, or are you going to keep singing?

When you choose the latter–when you choose to keep singing rather than becoming silent before the Lord–there is supernatural joy, resounding peace, and undeniable victory that infiltrate your life!

Releasing your song brings about supernatural joy…

If the enemy can get you to silence your praise, he can keep you out of the throneroom of God, so rejoice in the Lord always (1 Thessalonians). The enemy tries to get you to overthink every mistake, and before you know it, you’ve somehow found yourself in a place of mourning. Sometimes you are going to have to override what you feel in the natural in order to praise God for His goodness. It’s easy to forget that joy–along with peace–are the fruit of the spirit; they are not feelings. The fruit of the spirit are supernatural gifts, not an emotional response.

The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and your sustenance (Colossians 1:17-20). He holds it all together. He is holding you up–He’s got you–you just have to choose to walk with Him and in the joy that’s available through Him.

Releasing your song brings about unshakable peace…

The supernatural presence of God hovers in every situation in your life. Though the enemy would love nothing more than you to live a life of chaos–with whirling tornadoes and a wounded soul–there is supernatural peace when you choose to praise the Lord! We are commanded to operate in a place where you’re continuously releasing peace into the atmosphere. The hope in Jesus is an anchor–firm and secure–to your soul (Hebrews 6:19). Just as in the ocean, the rougher the waves of life become, the deeper the anchor of Jesus and His promises embed within your spirit and in your circumstance.

When you’re anchored in Christ, troubles and trials cannot drag you down. He is an anchor for your soul–firm and secure. Travel your journey with peace and patient endurance, and you will bring the promise to pass.

Releasing your song puts you in a place of victory…

When you release your song, tenacity breaks forth, and when you refuse to be silent–singing in the midst of adversity– you take back your life. Be careful not to minimize God when you’re not seeing what you’re believing for, instead, magnify Him. Choosing faith in a moment that might look hard and praising Him in the struggle will ultimately bring victory and freedom. Breakthroughs are hinged on you praising God. Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). When you fight with the Lord on your side, expect good things.

Daughter of God, He is working it all out on your behalf. Raise your eyes to see the hope that is available in Him. There is hope on the other side; there is joy released in your song. Even when your life doesn’t seem like the fullness has materialized, keep singing. Open your mouth and speak life into your situations. Have faith now, have joy now because the bridge between our desire and our reality is contentment. Don’t silence your song. God has placed it within you to be strengthened and sustained.
