SHOW NOTES:

If you took all the limits off, what purpose, passion, or desire of your heart would you pursue? Every Christian has a calling or purpose that God has put them on planet Earth to accomplish. However, the pathway to discovering our purpose oftentimes gets muddied–overcomplicated by the tendency to rationalize ourselves out of what is really a simple truth– our purpose has been placed within us by God from the moment we were created.

Once you know Jesus Christ, it’s a matter of walking with Him in order to discover your kingdom purpose. Learning to walk in and grow the purpose of that which God has called you to in this life is a lot simpler than you think, but it can be difficult to know where to begin.

Step 1 of the pathway to your purpose:

  • Start to discover your gifting or purpose by getting a vision for your life

    • Ask yourself- “What am I constantly thinking or dreaming about?” If you took all the limits off –what would you do? Get alone with God to sift through what it is you think God is calling you to, and identify passions that are already inside of you! (Psalm 37:4)

Wrap your expectation around that which you are believing! Your passions are a clue to your purpose. As you partner with Him, steward your faith, and believe the vision, what you desire for your life will come to pass.

Step 2 of the pathway to your purpose:

  • Just, start, walking!

    • As you step out in faith, learn to be comfortable with the fact that you’re not going to know all of the details from the start.  As you begin searching for your purpose, God will grow your gifting. Continue to develop your faith, and as you progress, the path that you’re pursuing will keep getting clearer and clearer.

    • The sooner you can identify and live in that purpose, the freer and more fulfilled we will be in your Christian walk. God will illuminate your path one day at a time–don’t despise the days of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). Do the next right thing, through obedience.

When God gives you a dream, He deposits it in your spirit–it will be contrary to how the world operates rationally. Regardless, continue to ask God what you should accomplish through His power and through His will!

There is an intention of God for you to multiply and fulfill the call on your life, starting with how you use the talents you have now. Categorize giftings, callings, and purposes God has put in your heart; don’t compare your giftings to others.

We each have an assignment for our lives and it is our responsibility to partner with God to see that assignment come to completion. Renew your mind with the word of God, and just start walking in the steps of obedience to your fulfillment. Your gifts and talents will begin to multiply as you walk in the plan God has for your life.
