Show Notes:
Do you remember ever picking up a dandelion when you were younger, and blowing the seeds into the air to make a wish? Your “wish” floated off with the seeds without you knowing whether or not it would come true. I have good news for you today…with faith, there’s no more guessing–you can be absolutely sure that with Biblical hope, you can turn your wishes into reality!
Long gone are the days when you put more faith in superstitions than in the word of God, wishing and throwing your hopes into the air, wondering if they would come back to you. Biblical hope isn’t a “maybe” – Biblical hope is a person. It’s found in Jesus Christ and the promises we have in Him and His word.
Let me encourage you today that your life doesn’t have to just be “whatever will be, will be.” Through faith and anchoring into Jesus, you can see the desires God puts into your heart come to pass, because when you delight yourself in the Lord, He gives you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Jesus is Lord and Savoir of your life; you are blood-bought. Yielding to God’s plan for your life allows you to put full trust that that little stir or desire in your heart– if filtered through and aligned with His word–is from God. He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). There are good things in store for you.
Turn your wishes into reality by reminding yourself of the power hope has when it’s rooted in faith and the love of Jesus!
Point #1 to turn your wishes into reality– Hope has substance and His name is Jesus!
Seeing your hope become a reality will require you to pray in a way that is unwavering. Faith is the title deed for the things you do not have, yet. Your prayers must be anchored to who Jesus is. Without faith, hope has no sustenance and no root system, and without faith, you will be tossed here and there like a double-minded man.
Point of Action–write down your desires and compare those to the word of God. Even when it looks like your desire or your wish isn’t coming to pass, you don’t have to be disappointed or operate from a place of disparity. Be anchored into the hope you have in Jesus Christ. You can go through situations you don’t like with joy and peace, knowing that it will turn out for your good.
Point #2 to turning your wishes into reality– Hope is steadfast!
Jesus is always working in your situation. Even when it may be a different plan, your future is still good and He is working it all together. Though current circumstances might not seem to align with what you feel is God’s plan or purpose for your life, remember as stated in Jeremiah 29: 11– “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Sometimes it feels that anything that could be good or would be good is gone, but in the midst of darkness, light has come! Anchor into hope, not the thing for which you’re believing. Light will shine upon your heart, bringing you fresh hope, fresh desire, fresh joy, and fresh peace.
Point #3 to turning your wishes into reality– Hope sees!
It sees past current and natural circumstances. You’re not bound by what you see in the natural. You don't even have to see it to hope for it–let it be more real in your spirit than what you see around you! How do you get to the place where you’re able to see with your spiritual eyes of faith? Get into the word! Instead of letting your mind tell you all of the reasons it won’t happen (naturally speaking your mind is a negative space), be reminded that God doesn’t speak to you in your mind, He speaks to your spirit! Renew your mind with what He says in His word, and put on the eyes of hope.
Allow the Lord– the God of hope–to restore all things to you. Turn your affections away from the dream or situation and allow your hopes to be rooted down in Jesus Christ. He will never disappoint you.
