SHOW NOTES:
In His word, God tells us that there is a special time and season for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Some seasons are consistent, while others bring changes and new things. Do you welcome shifts in your normal routine, or do the elements of the unknown make you feel out of control? Sure, there are certain things in life you can control, but more times than not, most things are completely out of your control. The good news? With God, you can learn to be out of control and loving it!
Friend, the way you see and handle change and the lack of control you have in a situation will impact your next season–positively or negatively. God hasn’t called you to ask Him for help only for you to turn around and try to control and manipulate your life anyway. Control is a lack of trust in God–it’s saying “thanks” I know better than you do –if you do it your way you will mess it up. Instead, you have to lean into God and His word–trusting and releasing your anxieties to Him.
There are some elements in your life that you can control and that can even set you up for success, living the life God has intended. You can pray and equip yourself with love to serve and be obedient to the Word; you can control how you respond. However, as you get the revelation of the elements of life that God has called you to release and surrender to Him, life gets more enjoyable!
Although change can be uncomfortable at times, it’s actually one of the most consistent things you can count on! Change is inevitable, and change is good! The version of yourself right now…it will change. You will grow and mature through some things; good will come out of it. Change doesn’t signify loss. Just because things are different, doesn’t mean they are bad. In fact, having the courage to embrace change is going to be a key element to your growth!
Take the Proverbs 31 woman for example. Proverbs 31: 25 states, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Ask yourself: Can you look to your future with laughter?
Embrace the new seasons–there is grace for you in them. Even when the future doesn’t look good in the natural, remember that God makes everything beautiful. He brings beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). In seasons that look desolate or like nothing good is coming, rest assured that there is something good on the other side of it.
This too shall pass. But one thing is for sure, as soon as this season shifts, circumstances will change again, Things will come to a close, and new horizons will emerge-- good things are ahead.
Release your future to Him and trust Him. The same God that brought you to it, will bring you through it. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11: 28-30). Today, God is telling you–just go with it for the steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:23). This season will be the best one yet. When you embrace the joy that will flood your soul, a new grace will hit you like never before.
Trust Him in new seasons and relinquish control. “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion” (Philippians 1:6). There’s peace in release.
Learn to be out of control and loving it and see what God does.
