SHOW NOTES:
Evangelist Debra George is known for her unwavering dedication to winning souls and raising an army of soul-winning warriors. She has a heart for reaching the lost and hopeless. Founder of Debra George Ministries, her mission is to spread the message of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ to all people–even traveling to the streets of some of America’s most broken and lonely places. Ministering from Texas, you can witness her encounters, testimonies, miraculous transformations, and the last day’s movement of winning souls on her show "Run the Streets."
Debra's personal testimony showcases the mercy, grace, and transformative power of Jesus Christ. This began when she experienced a pivotal "but God" moment at age twenty. Debra left her college party scene one spring break to return home where Debra's sister, who had received Jesus and was passionately devoted to God, led Debra to the Lord in her living room. She reminded Debra that from that point on, the most important thing in Debra's life should be the salvation of others' souls. Debra returned to college a new creation in Christ and in the pursuit of winning hearts to Christ on her college campus. When asked when she started winning souls, she enthusiastically responds, “Right away!”
Since the day she was born again, Debra had always been a soul winner, yet her ministry really began to unfold as a result of what she referenced as a “divine dissatisfaction” inside of her telling her there had to be more. She began praying a simple prayer each night for God to relight the fire inside her. She felt the call to lead those societies may otherwise disqualify from love and care–modern-day women at the well. She was looking to reach the prostitutes, the drug dealers, the drug addicts. For months, there was no apparent change until she felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit in a restaurant parking lot. She was to lead the two women she saw to the Lord that day. Shortly after, the two women she had prayed with brought Debra to their neighborhood, ripe with souls to be won. Debra got to work! By passing out treats, radiating joy with a smile, and showing the love of Jesus, Debra brought countless souls into the kingdom.
Over time, Debra was given the opportunity to train soul winners and reach some of the toughest cities in the United States. Her team prays with the forgotten people, bringing the love of Jesus to the streets of America, and melting the hearts of even the toughest criminals.
Debra shares her heart and encourages us that we are mandated to reach the lost, and now, more than ever, it is the harvest season for souls! It is time for families, neighbors, classmates, and coworkers to come into the kingdom and know Jesus Christ in a personal way. We don’t have to get people to sit in our church pews or them “cleaned up” before they come to church. There is power in meeting people where they are and taking the gospel to them. Many people have been brought to God simply by obeying and following God's prompting to love others.
Consistency is key–consistently loving Jesus, loving people, and going in with the good news while leaving the rest to God! When we do our part, He does His.
